The nationally-ranked Oswego State men's ice hockey team registered five of the game's final four goals to storm back and beat the Carleton Place Canadians in its final exhibition game on Saturday night.
Oswego is ranked 10th in the country in both national preseason polls.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After two early Carleton goals – including a 5-on-3 power-play tally – the Lakers cut their deficit in half at 15:47 of the first.
- Anthony Passero swept behind the net and tried to tuck in a goal by the post and although it did not go, Tanner Spink collected the rebound and found a streaking Travis Broughman for a slap-shot goal.
- It was a fitting time for Broughman to notch his first goal in a Laker uniform as he played for Carleton in 2017-18.
- Broughman was not done as he assisted on the equalizer in the second period on a Laker extra-man opportunity.
- The freshman ripped a shot off a pass from Passero before Joseph Molinaro was able to bang home the rebound off the Canadians' goalie at 9:55.
- Oswego did not waste time in scoring again, taking its first lead of the game just 27 seconds later.
- Passero brought the puck up the ice and found Spink on the near-side boards, where Spink battled to possess the puck back-and-forth behind the net before beating the Carleton goalie.
- Senior captain Devin Campbell was credited with an assist on Spink's go-ahead goal.
- Tyler Bruce jumped into the action in the third period, using some nice stick work from the far corner to score off passes from Joey Scorpio and Kristoffer Brun.
- Carleton was able to score to get within one but the Lakers penalty-kill unit and defense was stellar in the final minutes.
- Facing another 5-on-3 for 1:25, Oswego was able to kill off both penalties, allowing just one shot attempt, which was off target.
- Oswego's defense continued to play a skater down as the Canadians emptied their net for the final 1:18.
- Yet again Carleton could not get a shot on net, with Mitch Emerson stealing the puck and putting the game out of reach with an empty-net tally at 1.2 seconds remaining.
- Oswego outshot the Canadians 58-20 on the night, including a 39-11 advantage in on-target chances.
- Cedric Hansen (6) and Steven Kozikoski (2) split time in net for Oswego, combining to stop eight shots.
