Women's Basketball Downed at Buffalo State

Samantha Britton put together her second-consecutive double-double with a season-high 18 points paired with 10 rebounds as the Oswego State women's basketball team fell to host Buffalo State on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • The Laker offense settled in after trailing 15-4 the opening six minutes by trading buckets and trailing 25-13 after the first period.
  • At the break, Britton led the way for Oswego with nine points and six rebounds as Buffalo State held a 50-27 halftime lead.
  • Ramatoulaye Sy finished with 12 points and eight rebounds for the Lakers.
  • Also grabbing 10 rebounds was Quincy Zimmerman, which was a new season-high, to go along with six points.
  • Raiven Encarnacion's six assists were a team-high, as she also scored five points with three rebounds and two blocks.
  • In just 10 minutes on the floor, Rachel Windhausen scored seven points on 3-for-5 shooting.
  • Erin Gantley and Sarah Feminella made helped on the defensive end of the floor, combining for four blocks and five steals.
