Sue Bakos, planning committee chairperson for the Oswego Community Christian School's sixth annual auction, has announced that Corrina McEwen Pauldine, of the newly opened McEwen Auction Company, in Oswego, will serve as the auctioneer for the live auction portion of the event.
Plans are underway for one of the area's premier fundraising events, the Oswego Christian Community School's 7th Annual Auction. Scheduled for Saturday, April 5th, the Oswego Community Christian School's 7th Annual Auction will be held from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the Oswego Elks Lodge #271, corner of West Fifth and Bridge Streets in Oswego. The event, which serves as the school's largest fundraiser, will feature a Silent Auction and a Live Auction, as well as a bake sale and the Elks famous Chicken B-B-Q.
Cub Scout Pack 809 is holding their annual pinewood derby on Saturday at Premier Living Suites in Oswego, and Oswego Speedway will be on hand to help celebrate.
Learning did not stop at the classroom door for one group of nine students. Morningstar Care Center granted them an opportunity to take their knowledge out of the classroom and relate it to real world scenarios.
The iHeart Oswego EBE (Experience Based Education at SUNY) interns are representing local Oswego businesses in the Campus Center for the months of March and April, 2014, in an effort to bring additional exposure to local area businesses.
She handed each and every one of the residents there to greet her a Valentine`s Day card and a long stem carnation. The residents at Morningstar Residential Care Center were excited to see Senator Patty Ritchie of New York and clearly looked forward to her visit, which has become a standing appointment every February. One resident noticed and remarked that Sen. Ritchie had cut her hair, to which Patty replied: `I needed a change`.
The Richard S. Shineman Foundation announced a $150,000 grant award to support Oswego neighborhood revitalization through the Oswego Renaissance Association (ORA). The grant will support ORA`s neighborhood revitalization programs this coming summer, including a program called the `Renaissance Block Challenge Grant`.
Oswego Community Christian School students are doing their part to support the school's 7th Annual Auction. Students in each grade have been busy preparing themed baskets that will be up for bid during the auction. Each basket will be filled with an array of goodies that pertain to a unique theme.
