Looking for day of fun and laughter for your child?

Friends of Recovery Oswego County will be hosting a Youth Wellness Carnival on Friday, August 22nd from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at its Community Center, 808 West Broadway in Fulton.

Free and open to the public, the Youth Wellness Carnival will feature a variety of entertaining activities and carnival games such as clown toss, duck pond, sticky darts and more! Participating youth will have a chance to win wellness related prizes and enjoy light and nutritious snacks and refreshments. There will also be drawings for a variety of larger prizes, including art and craft baskets, a bicycle and more.

Friends of Recovery Oswego County Administrative Assistant Nevaeh Tucker said that the goal of the event is twofold.

“We want to both educate the community of the importance of youth wellness and offer area youth the opportunity to be involved with the community and socialize with others in a safe and healthy atmosphere. We will also have a fun carnival themed photo booth so you can take home your photos!”

The Youth Wellness Carnival will also include a Resource Fair with representatives from the Food Bank of Central NY, Mobility Management, SNAP Outreach, Oswego County Prevention Coalition, OCO Centers for Reproductive Health and other wellness related programs and agencies. Along with information about programs and services, each vendor will offer a game or activity.

“We invite area youth and their families to join us for our Youth Wellness Carnival and enjoy a day of fun in the comfort of our air conditioned Community Center,” added Tucker.
