Pulaski, NY – There is still time for you to enter the annual Sunday Artists Show and Competition hosted by the Salmon River Fine Arts Center.

This special show invites amateur, emerging  and semi-professional artists (those not making a livelihood with their art) to submit artwork in any medium. All artwork will be judged and cash prizes will be awarded for all three categories based on visual impact, originality, overall design and craftsmanship. Artwork must be received by 2 pm, Saturday, July 11th. The public is invited to the opening reception from 5 - 7pm and an awards ceremony at 6 pm on Friday, July 17th. The exhibit will remain on display through August 16th.

The judge for this year’s show is local artist Alecia Wilson, a commission artist and large-scale muralist. Wilson has  a deep passion for community and local events and launched her creative business, Alesiafy, in 2020 during the pandemic.

For details on how to submit art for the show, see the prospectus and guidelines on the Salmon River Fine Arts Center website or contact the art center. Although anyone from the community 18 years and older may submit work, there is a discount if you are a member. Memberships are available here online and include many other benefits for those who appreciate or want to support art in the community.

The Salmon River Fine Arts Center is pleased that Edward Jones is the corporate partner sponsor for this annual show. The Art Center is grateful to local financial advisor Rochelle Peabody of Edward Jones, for her commitment to investing in the local community. “I am honored to support the Salmon River Fine Arts Center and the talents of the artists in the area,” says Rochelle. “I have enjoyed volunteering and seeing the enrichment that the arts center has given to the community!”
