Two student-athletes from the Oswego State women`s lacrosse team were nominated to the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) All-Conference teams. Senior Nikki Greco was named First Team All-Conference in the only goalie slot while fellow senior Megan McNulty received Second Team Honors.
It is the second-straight year that both players have appeared on those respective teams.
Greco capped off her best year yet, receiving SUNYAC Goalie of the Week honors three-consecutive times; a feat that had not been accomplished by a SUNYAC goalie since at least 2010. The goalie appeared in all 17 games, ending the year averaging 9.59 saves a game with a total of 163 saves, setting the Oswego single-season mark. That total also ranks 22nd in the nation while her save percentage of .540 ranks eighth in the country. The West Genesee native was also in the top 50 nationally in goals-against average, allowing just 8.42 goals per game (36th).
McNulty completed her senior campaign as the anchor for the defense. The senior appeared in every game, ranking eighth in the conference and first for the Lakers in caused turnovers with 24. She also recorded a career-best 46 groundballs, which led the team, and was second in draw controls, winning 38 on the year.
Greco and McNulty helped carry Oswego to its best finish in nearly a decade, going 11-6 which is the most wins since the 2005 squad finished with the same overall mark.
