     The Oswego Public Library now has available all tax forms, both Federal and State, for 2012. Yesterday, Jan. 30, was the opening of the federal filing window with millions already sending in their returns as of 2 p.m. on that date.

     SUNY Oswego has partnered with the National Action Council on Minorities in Engineering to award scholarships starting this fall to increase enrollment in engineering fields for students from underrepresented groups.

     Did you know that one in 100 children are born with a congenital heart defect? Furthermore, did you know the American Heart Society only contributes one percent of its funds to this cause?

     The Oswego County Emergency Management Office announces that the system of emergency notification sirens surrounding the three nuclear power plants at Nine Mile Point will be tested during the week of Feb. 4-8.

     The Oswego County Department of Social Services (DSS) will sponsor an informational meeting from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Feb. 14, at the DSS offices, 806 W. Broadway, Fulton, for people who are interested in becoming foster or adoptive parents.

     Education First Foundation (EFF) is currently seeking host families throughout Oswego County for foreign exchange students looking to spend either a semester or a school year in a U.S. high school.
