St. Francis Commons Assisted Living Residence will host the final workshop in a series presented by the Alzheimer’s Association, Central New York Chapter entitled, “Dementia Conversations”. The workshop will be held on Wednesday, September 14th beginning at 7:00 p.m.

The Oswego County Comets RC and Fire & Iron MC Station 1438 proudly announce their Second Handlebars for Hospice motorcycle ride fundraiser to be held on Saturday, September 24, 2016 starting at the New Haven Fire Department.

The Oswego County Historical Society (OCHS) is proudly celebrating the 75th anniversary of the historic landmark Oswego Theatre, which opened it doors in January of 1941. A classic movie night showing the popular fiim"Casablanca" will be featured on Thursday, October 13h at 7:00 pm in the Oswego Theatre located at 138 West Second Street. All proceeds from the event will support the Richardson-Bates House Museum in Oswego.

The Child Advocacy Center (CAC) of Oswego County has announced that the 6th Annual CAC Wing Fest will be held Friday, March 10, 2017.

The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), a division of SUNY Oswego’s Office of Business and Community Relations, in conjunction with the AARP Tax-Aide Program is pleased to offer free annual income tax preparation, e-filing and tax counseling services for the residents of Oswego County. There are no age or income restrictions; however, special attention will be given to those 50 and over.

On Tuesday, January 31, 2017, members of Oswego County's Fire and Iron Station 1438 Motorcycle Club met at the New Haven Fire Department to present a check to Friends of Oswego County Hospice. Fire and Iron proudly presented a $500.00 donation to Debbie Bishop, Executive Director of Friends of Oswego County Hospice, in memory of the late Barbara S. Wilcox of New Haven.

The Minetto United Methodist Church will again this year host a Mardi Gras full of fun and merriment to mark the time before the start of Lent. The event will be held in the Fellowship Hall of the church on Friday, Feb. 24 at 7 pm.
