Trinity Catholic School is planning an Open House for families of 3 and 4 year olds interested in attending the school's Pre-K program. This Open House is also for families of new K-6 students and current Pre-K students interested in enrolling in Kindergarten. This is an opportunity to meet our caring, energetic teachers, to tour the school and to visit classrooms. Applications will be available that evening. The school recently finished a week of activities celebrating Catholic Education in Oswego County. Bishop Cunningham visited the school during their Reading Buddy/Ice Cream Sundae Marathon. The Open House will begin on Wednesday, February 12th, at 6:30 at the school, located at 115 East Fifth Street in Oswego.
On April 26, 2014, Mother Earth Baby will be host to the Second Annual Healthy Baby Expo and the Oswego, NY site of the Fourth Annual Guinness World-Record Setting `Great Cloth Diaper Change` International Event.
The Oswego Public Library has finally received state and federal tax forms to pass on to everyone for FREE. Tax forms are in the addition through the left of the main reading room. If you need forms that are not provided for free, they may be printed from irs.gov and tax.ny.gov. Of course, the government would prefer you file online and New York State has a great site to guide you through e-filing for FREE: tax.ny.gov/pit/efile. The Oswego Public Library is open Monday through Thursday from 10 AM to 8 PM. We close at 5 PM Friday through Sunday. Weekend hours begin at Noon. Oswego County`s best and brightest journalists, advertising, marketing and public relations professionals were honored recently at the Professional Journalists and Communicators of Oswego County`s annual Golden Quotes Award Banquet. Held January 15 at Vona`s Restaurant in Oswego, the event recognized members for their outstanding work over the past year.
The Oswego Music Hall's stage will thrum, twang and soar when The Dady Brothers take its stage Saturday, Feb. 22 at 8:00 p.m. Considered Western New York's favorite troubadours, John and Joe Dady have been bringing their unique range and brand of Celtic and American root music to their performances for some 30 years.
SUNY Oswego`s intercollegiate athletics department has been named the national winner for the Jostens/National Association Division III Athletic Administrators Community Service Award in two categories -- An Array of Projects and On-going Project/Activity completed during the 2012-2013 academic year.
Wing Fest was an incredible event! From the fast sell-out of the event itself to the fun Lakeside Photo Booth complete with props, the wing tasting of up to 24 wings and of course the beer (thank you Eagle Beverage).

Residents at Bishop's Commons have teaming-up with Riley Elementary School 4th grader's and together are working on yearlong writing project that will culminate in a storybook detailing the interests, activities and some personal history of residents, as composed by the students.
Students visit Bishop's Commons once a month to interview their resident partner and take what information they learn during the interview to compose a new chapter in the storybook. At the completion of the writing project at the end of the school year, students will present their resident partner with the storybook they composed.
