Born in Oswego, he was the son of the late Ralph and Donna (Swindells) Larkin.
Richard worked as a carpenter with Local #277. He was an avid sports fan, always rooting for the Dallas Cowboys.
He is survived by his son Mason Larkin, his brother Greg Larkin, sister Janelle Meteer, and sister-in-law Carla Larkin.
In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Larkin and John Meteer.
A celebration of life for Richard will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of the Nelson Funeral Home.
