The Oswego State men's ice hockey team opened the regular season with a convincing 7-1 victory over the Elmira College Soaring Eagles on Friday night in the Marano Campus Center Arena. Oswego – who is receiving votes in both the D3hockey.com and USCHO polls – is now 5-1-1 in season-openers since the turn of the decade.

The Oswego State softball team opened its 2017 campaign with a split at PFX Athletics Spring Game on Sunday morning and afternoon. Oswego began with a 5-0 shutout of New England College before falling 9-6 to the University of Scranton.

Oswego fell 2-0 to Hood College to start the day before losing a tough 1-0 extra-innings battle with New York University. With the losses, Oswego will return to New York with a 4-6 record.
The Oswego State softball team played its first contests in New York State for the 2017 season, suffering a pair of losses at Houghton College on Wednesday evening. Oswego goes to 4-8 on the year while the Highlanders improve to 6-10.
