Oswego Stampede Takes on Niagara Powerhawks Jan 20 - 21

The Stampede return to “The Fort” this weekend in a two game rubber match versus The Niagara Powerhawks.

The Stampede traveled to Niagara last weekend to face the Powerhawks and managed to only gain one point in the standings as they lost a heart breaker 4-3 with 8 seconds left in OT.

In game two of the weekend, the Stamp never really posed a threat to the second place Powerhawks who just had more legs than the undermanned Stampede. The Stampede were missing several key players last weekend that will return to this weekends line-up.

“We had a few guy’s out with the flu and travel related issues last weekend… This weekend I think we will be a much better team then they saw last week.” stated Assistant Coach Kyle Althen.

The Stampede were back to work this week with the opportunity to reclaim third place in the Northeast division as Niagara comes to town both Saturday and Sunday at the “Fort” The two teams will face-off Saturday at 7:30 PM and again on Sunday at 1:00 PM Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for teens and Under 12 is Free!

Stop out and cheer your Oswego Stampede on as they make the push for the playoffs. Remember, all Stampede games are shown live on Hockey TV so be sure to catch all the action at http://hockeytv.com
