The Oswego State women's tennis team (3-14) wrapped up the 2012-13 year with a 7-2 loss at Wells (4-9) with the Laker points coming at No. 2 doubles and No. 5 singles.
Wini Decker (Sr., Hamptons Bay, N.Y.) and Haley Miller (So., Springwater, N.Y.) teamed up at No. 2 doubles to defeat Brittany Vanno and Taryn Heath by the score of 8-1 to give Oswego State an early lead. The Lakers dropped the remaining two doubles matches by the identical 8-5 scores.
Miller continued to play well at No. 5 singles, as she defeated Heath in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2. Olivia Knierman (So., Fulton, N.Y.) forced a decisive third set after she won the second set, 6-4, but came up short, 6-3, to suffer the loss.
