The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has announced its All-Conference Team honors, awarding two Oswego State men`s lacrosse players with selections. Junior Nick Giampaolo received First Team honors while fellow junior Matt Palmer received honorable mention.
Giampaolo finished a strong season, competing in all 15 games for the Lakers. The midfielder led the team in both points and goals, accumulating 39 points, 26 of those being goals. He finished second in assists for the Lakers with 13. The Setauket native also helped the team with his ground ball work, recording the second most for Oswego with 47.
Palmer concluded a strong junior season as well. The Pittsford native finished the season with a career-high 22 goals, giving him the second most on the team. He also recorded 24 points on the year giving him the fourth-most for the Lakers in 2014. The midfielder was also key in man-up situations, pacing Oswego with 10 extra-man goals, six more than the next closest teammate.
Giampaolo and Palmer will return as senior leaders in the 2015 campaign.
