With the 2014 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships wrapping up on Saturday, Matt Wagenhauser closed out his season with a strong showing in the 800. The junior took fifth overall as he became the school's first All-American on the men's side since the program was reinstated in the 1990s.
Wagenhauser adds All-America honors to the list of his accolades which include two All-SUNYAC First Team selections, two individual SUNYAC Championships (indoor and outdoor 400), one SUNYAC Relay Championship (4x400), and two All-ECAC individual awards for his performance in the indoor (third place) and outdoor 400 (second place). Wagenhauser also scored a pair of individual school records in indoor (400, and 500), one in outdoor (800) and three in the relays (indoor 4x400, outdoor 4x400 and sprint medley).
