Dunk a Firefighter or Police Officer at the Fulton Downtown Community Market

Matt Fragale, owner of Epic Events Party Rentals, is preparing to host one of the most unique attractions at Fulton's upcoming Downtown Community Market: a dunk tank fundraiser for local community organizations.

The market runs from 8am to noon on Saturday, August 22nd, at Canalview Mall parking lot. The market is a partnership between the Special Events Committee, the Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce and the numerous small businesses who work together to make it happen. 

Fragale said Epic Events Party Rental will be coordinating with the Fulton Fire and Police Departments, dunking multiple members of the two departments. Epic Events Party Rentals will then donate the proceeds to the departments’ respective unions to then support various causes across the City of Fulton at their discretion.

You can participate and have your own chance to dunk Fulton’s finest for $2 a ball… or 3 for 5, if you just can’t get enough. To ensure the most use of every dollar raised by the event, Epic Events Party Rentals decided to donate use of the dunk tank.

So far, between sponsors and private donors, the fundraiser has already surpassed $2,000—and Epic Events Party Rentals has promised to match the first $250 raised to add to the total.

“I was looking for something fun and lighthearted to do,” Fragale told the iHeart Oswego team. “My wife and I were both born and raised here, and growing up, kids’ stuff wasn’t easy to find around here. I want to give the new generation things to do.”

Fragale also wanted to be sure to thank and recognize the event’s business sponsors for their support. Sponsorships are still available if more businesses or donors would like to participate. Current sponsors are: Adventure at Burritt’s; Burritt Motors; Michaelanne Vail at Century 21; Lifetime Roofing; Chubby’s Sports Bar and Grill; Duskee’s Sports Bar and Grill; Great Lakes Enterprise, LLC; Great Lakes Heating and Air; and Fisk Electric.

Other events that the business has donated partial or full use of their inflatables to include: Fulton Fall Fest, Big Truck Day, various events with the Fulton City School District, and an upcoming event with the United Way of Greater Oswego County.
