Write a commentNo Rules Riders Riding Club’s Too Far Gone Chapter has announced they will be partnering with VFW Post 5885 for a Fun-Day Fundraiser on February 28.
Attendees can purchase $10 spaghetti and meatball dinners, raffles, and 50/50s from noon to 9pm. Donations of raffle items are still being accepted; for more information, contact organizer John Shatraw at 315-529-6944.
The event will also feature live music all day long. The schedule includes Steve Maclean from 12pm to 3pm, Eric Bone Daddy Spaulding from 3pm to 6pm, and Shane Hoey from 6pm to 9pm. Delio DJ Service will also be on-hand.
A $10 door charge will be waived for those donating craft supplies.
The aim of the event is to spread joy to area veterans by providing free craft and hobby materials for them to use. After the event, members of the Too Far Gone Chapter of the No Rules Riders Riding Club will be using the proceeds to purchase craft supplies and then hand-deliver the donated and purchased items to patients at the VA Hospital in Syracuse.
“It’s not just about giving them things,” said John Shatraw, one of the event organizers. “This is about community. We’ll also be spending time with these vets as they work on their projects.”
