The Oswego state softball team claimed back-to-back victories on Friday afternoon to close out the Sunkissed Games.

The Oswego State softball team split its doubleheader on the road against Hamilton on Wednesday afternoon. The Lakers’ bats were hot in game one, winning by a score of 11-7, but Oswego fell in game two, 4-0. With the win and loss, the Lakers move to 7-5 on the season.
The Oswego State softball team split with Cortland in its home-opener doubleheader on Saturday. In game one, the Lakers defeated Cortland, 2-1, in a pitchers’ duel. The win was Oswego’s first over Cortland since March 29, 2013. In game two, Oswego fell to Cortland, 17-5.
The Oswego State baseball team defeated SUNY Canton in both games of their doubleheader on Monday, extending its win streak to eight games. During game one, a big fourth inning propelled the Lakers to a 6-1 win. In the second game, Oswego’s bats came alive late to lift the team to an 8-4 win. With the victories, Oswego improves to 13-5 on the season, while Canton falls to 4-14.
Mike Dellicarri of the No. 20/23 Oswego State baseball team has been named to the D3Baseball.com Team of the Week for the week ending April 1. Dellicarri is the first Laker baseball player to earn the honor this season.
Lukas Olsson of the No. 14/19 Oswego State baseball team has been named to the D3Baseball.com Team of the Week for the week ending April 8. This is the second consecutive week that the Lakers have had a player earn this honor, with teammate Mike Dellicarri receiving the award for the prior week.
The Oswego State baseball team came from behind late to defeat the University of Rochester, 11-7, at home on Wednesday afternoon. With the victory, the Lakers improve to 17-6 on the season, while Rochester falls to 6-10.
The Oswego State softball team split with New Paltz in their doubleheader on Friday. With the split, the Lakers move to 12-8 on the season and 5-3 in SUNYAC play, while the Hawks move to 11-12-1 overall and 4-2 in conference action.
The No. 14/19 Oswego State baseball team split its doubleheader with Brockport on Friday afternoon.
