The Oswego State women's cross country team finished eighth (of 11) at the Hamilton College Short Course Cross Country Invitational on Saturday.
Oswego finished with 229 points at the invitational, while the University of Rochester took first place with 43.
Freshman Sarah Rappleye had the best finish for the Lakers. She finished the 4K in 16:13 to take 28th. Six seconds behind her was teammate Morgan Bronner, who placed 33rd. Shaun Fliss, Jamie Kasza, and Marissa Welch scored as well.
The Lakers will return to the course at 11 a.m. next Saturday when they host the Oswego State Invitational.
