The third-seeded Oswego State volleyball team battled to a come-from-behind 3-2 (25-16, 19-25, 16-15, 25-19, 16-14) victory over No. 6 Fredonia in the first round of the SUNYAC Championship in No. 1 Brockport's Tuttle Gymnasium. With the win, the Lakers improve to 25-9, and most importantly, advance to the semifinal round to face No. 2 New Paltz at 3 p.m. on Saturday. The 25 victories is the most by a Laker squad since the 1994 team posted 42 wins.
The No. 3 Lakers of Oswego State saw their seven-game winning streak ended and season come to a close with a 3-0 (13-25, 13-25, 22-25) loss to second-seeded New Paltz in the semifinal round of the SUNYAC Championship, held at first-seeded Brockport's Tuttle Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon. Oswego finishes the season with a 25-10 overall mark, its most wins in over two decades and fourth-most in program history.

The Oswego State field hockey team suffered its first loss of 2016 6-0 to nationally-ranked William Smith College on the road Tuesday night. With the loss, the Lakers are now 6-1 overall while the No. 13 Herons are 8-3.
The Oswego State volleyball team beat host Wells College 3-2 (25-22, 25-20, 26-28, 24-26, 15-11) on Wednesday night. In a close match throughout, Oswego captured the first sets before never trailing in a decisive fifth set to collect a victory and move to 13-11 on the year. The Express falls to 15-7 on the year with Wednesday's loss.
