The Oswego State wrestling team split a pair of dual matches at the NY/PA Duals hosted by King's College. Oswego defeated King's 47-9 before dropping a close 30-16 decision to Lycoming. Oswego's record moves to 2-2 on the season in dual matches.

Tara Hansen – of the Oswego State women's track & field team – was one of the SUNYAC Student Athlete Advisory Committee (S.A.A.C.) members invited to attend New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo's State of the State Address on Jan. 3 in Albany.

The Empire Collegiate Wrestling Conference (ECWC) has named Alex Herringshaw of the Oswego State wrestling team its Co-Wrestler of the Week for the week ending Jan. 14.

The Oswego State wrestling team took No. 22 Brockport down to the wire in a 27-17 loss on Wednesday night in Max Ziel Gymnasium. Oswego also hosted a high school tri-match between Poland High School, Port Byron High School and Oswego High School. With the loss, the Lakers fall to 4-5 in duals on the year while the nationally-ranked Golden Eagles stay unbeaten at 4-0.

The Oswego State men’s and women’s track and field teams participated in the Hamilton College Continental Invitational on Friday afternoon.

The Oswego State wrestling team had a strong showing by several individuals as it placed fourth at the ECWC Championships – hosted by Cortland on Saturday afternoon. For their performances, Jake DelDuca, Isaac Mathews, Hunter Howland, Alex Herringshaw, Troy Seymour, Jeff Lombardi, Chris Marchena, Kade Andrews and Joey Bush were named All-Conference team members.

The Oswego State men's and women's track and field teams competed in the Kane Invitational hosted by Cornell University on Saturday.

The Empire 8 has named Zach Hiris and Sean Paul Owen of the Oswego State golf team to its President’s List for the fall 2017 semester.
