Oswego County Workforce New York (OCWNY) hosts its annual fall job fair on Thursday, Sept. 17 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Fulton Community Ice Arena, located at 609 W. Broadway.

2025 SUNYAC Women's Swimming and Diving Top Accolades Announced

The SUNYAC announces its 2025 women's swimming and diving top honorees including the Swimmer of the Year, Diver of the Year, Rookie of the Year and Coaching Staff of the Year.

These awards are nominated and voted on by the conference coaches. 

Women's Swimmer of the Year - Leah Bernhardt, Cortland
Bernhardt was the 2025 overall champion in the 200, 500 and 1650-yard freestyles races at the 2025 SUNYAC-AMCC championship meet. She helped the Red Dragons win the progam's fifth team tile and first since 1989. She was also a part of the 800-yard freestyle relay team that placed second and the 400-yard medley relay and the 400-yard freestyle relay teams that were third overall at the championship. Bernhardt was named to the SUNYAC All-Conference first team for performances at the meet. She was awarded the Grace Mowatt Award at the conference meet which is voted on by the coaches and given annually to a senior based on their career academic and athletic accolades.

Women's Diver of the Year - Alyssa Haberlack, Cortland
Haberlack was the SUNYAC-AMCC champion in the one-meter dive and finished third in the 3-meter. She tied with her teammate (Megan McLaughlin) with the most points accumulated in the meet to earn Co-Diver of the Meet. Haberlack qualified for the regional diving championships where she placed 14th on the 1-meter and 17th on the 3-meter dive.

Women's Rookie of the Year - Isabella McDonald, Oswego
McDonald was named to the SUNYAC All-Conference team after she placed second among SUNYAC competitors in the 500-yard freestyle race at the 2025 championships. She also finished third across the SUNYAC in the 200-yard freestyle and 200-yard butterfly races. She had personal best times in all three of her events at the SUNYAC-AMCC championship meet.

Coaching Staff of the Year - Oswego
Mike Holman is the head coach of the Lakers women's swimming and diving team. He is assisted by Ryan Kreuser, Noah Galluzzo and Shawn Parkhurst. The staff led their team to a third place overall finish at the SUNYAC-AMCC championship. The Lakers earned the second highest points across the six SUNYAC teams at the meet. Seven Oswego student-athletes were named to the All-Conference team after finishing in the top three among SUNYAC competitors at the league championship.
