The men's and women's cross country teams traveled to the 2013 Leopard Invitational at Lafayette College Saturday, Oct. 19.
The men's team finished in eighth place, with six runners placing in the top 100 runners. Damian Archie finished top for the Lakers, coming in 34th with a time of 26:59.01. Nick Montesano finished at 27:11.03 for 45th place.
Ryan Korzinski, Ben Sweet, Thorin Kane and Tyler Morris finished in the top 100 as well.
American University finished in first place. 143 men ran in the race.
On the women's side, the Lakers finished in 13th place with five runners placing in the top 115.
Emily Yerdon came in 46th place for the Lakers with a time of 23:53.03. Katie Laris came in next, finishing at 24:02.55 for 53rd place.
Meghan Murphy, Karlee Duffer and Sarah Popovitch finished in the top 115 as well.
American University finished in first place for the women as well. 165 women participated in the race.
The Lakers will return to action Nov. 2, traveling to Oneonta for the SUNYAC championships.
