
The Oswego State men's cross country team placed in the top-half of the field at the Pre-Regional Mike Woods Invitational, held by Geneseo on Saturday morning. Oswego secured 17th place out of the 38-team field.
Oswego's top-four runners captured a spot in the top 100 individuals on Saturday, starting with Nicholas Leclair's 60th place finish with a time of 26:13.4. Frehsman classmate Dylan McCarthy came in 15.2 seconds later (26:28.6), good for 82nd place. Junior Tyler Morris was next to complete the 8K course for the Lakers, running a time of 26:33.6.
A pair of sophomore's rounded out the team score for Oswego, beginning with Colin Greenseich's 26:35.8 and followed by Kyle Pollicove's 27:09.2.
The Lakers will now use the next 13 days to train for the LaFayette Leopard Invitational at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17 in Easton, Pa.
