Ben Griffin of the Oswego State track and field team finished 13th overall in the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Grinnell College on Friday evening.
Griffin ran the 800-meter race at the meet, crossing the finish line in sixth place in his heat with a time of 1:56.53. After both heats were completed, the Sterling, N.Y. native found his time ranked 13th out of 16 total runners.
The senior earned his way to National's, recording a time of 1:53.26 at the St. Lawrence Fast Chance Invite. At the time, that was the 13th fastest in the country and also set the Oswego State record in that event.
