
The Oswego State golf team came in first at the Elmira Spring Invitational this morning at Elmira Country Club. The squad shot a combined 337, winning the by one stroke over the Elmira College A team.
Earning the top finish for the Lakers was Omari Howard, who was tied for second after scoring an 82 both rounds (+12). Howard was followed closely by Kyle Brockman and Dan North who both shot 84's in the two rounds (+14), putting them in a three-way tie for fifth. Also placing in the top ten was Stuart Winn, who was tied for ninth after hitting an 87 twice.
The golf team will get back into the swing of things at 1 p.m. on Saturday as the team will host the 9th Annual Lakers Spring Invitational. The invite will span into Sunday as well, with a start time of 10 a.m.
