The Oswego State women's soccer team fell 4-0 to Hamilton College Wednesday afternoon, concluding the Lakers regular season. The team finished this year with a record of 8-8-1 overall and 3-5-1 in the SUNYAC.
It was an even match through the first twenty minutes, but the Continentals broke the stalemate at the 24:21 mark. Hamilton would one more before half and then another two in the second. Kelsi Fredricks recorded two shots for the Lakers but Oswego couldn't beat the opposing keeper.
Melissa Siegfried started in goal for the Lakers, notching six saves in 58:55 before leaving the field due to injury. Senior Alyssa Glasshagel finished the contest, picking up four saves of her own.
Postseason play is next for the women's soccer team, as the team locked up the six seed in the SUNYAC Championship with its win against Cortland on Saturday. The squad will play its first game at 2 p.m. on Saturday as it travels to Geneseo to play the No. 1-seeded Knights.
