The Oswego State men`s tennis team bounced back from a Thursday loss with a 6-3 win over Lancaster Bible College at a neutral site contest held at Wells College. Oswego`s win brought its record back to .500 at 4-4 while the Lancers fall to 3-7.
The Lakers took two points on the doubles side as Tim Van Hine, Jr. and Spencer Thorn teamed for an 8-3 win at second while Max McCune and Sam Carges combined for an 8-2 victory at thirds.
Van Hine, McCune and Thorn each added points in singles as well, with Van Hine going the distance for a three-set win. After winning the first set 7-5, Van Hine was shutout 0-6 in the second before taking a 6-3 third set for the triumph. Thorn won easily at fifth singles, taking straight-sets 6-3, 6-0.
McCune took down Justin Bendo 6-1, 6-2 for the third singles victory.
Adding the final point for Oswego was Justin D'Antonio, who has solidified himself in the sixth singles position, winning his fourth-straight match 6-2, 6-2.
The Lakers will return to the courts at 4 p.m. on Tuesday when they travel to Keuka to take on the Storm.
