After posting a 9-1 record in 2012, the Oswego State women's basketball team rings in 2013 by receiving two votes in the most recent D3hoops.com Women's Basketball Poll released Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013.
The Lakers make their first appearance in the D3hoops.com poll since the 2006-07 Preseason Poll when the program received 16 votes. Oswego State is the only SUNYAC school listed in the poll.
The Lakers are led offensively by Meagan Stover (Sr., Lake George, N.Y.) and Lauren Nunziato (Jr., West Sand Lake, N.Y.), who are averaging 15.6 and 12.0 points, respectively. Defensively, Coach Tracy Bruno's squad is one of the best in the country allowing just 44.3 points per game.
Oswego State returns to action on Tuesday, Jan. 8, when it travels to Oneonta for a 6 p.m. contest.
