The Oswego State men's tennis team took advantage of Thursday's nice weather, defeating Keystone College 9-0 on the Romney Outdoor Courts. The win improves Oswego's record to .500 (4-4) on the year. Keystone College remains winless on th year at 0-6.
The Lakers made quick work of doubles, winning all three matches with ease. Alex McCarthy and Brian Lyudmer took first 8-1, while Sam Moores and John Stanford captured a point at third with the same score. Spencer Thorn and Timothy Van Hine started off slow at second, dropping the first three games, but rallied with eight-straight, earning Oswego's third point of the day.
In singles the wins continued, with no Laker dropping more than three games during a set. McCarthy and Ryan Korn took first and second, respectively, both winning with a score of 6-0, 6-1. Lyudmer blanked his opponent at third, while Tyler BuxBaum did the same at sixth. Rounding out the sweep were wins by Thorn at fourth (6-1, 6-1) and Jon Matros (6-1, 6-3).
Men's tennis returns to the courts at 4 p.m. on Tuesday as it hosts Kueka College.
