The Oswego State wrestling team finished in fourth place out of 19 teams with 98.5 team points at the Mideast Regional – hosted by York College – on Sunday afternoon. Oswego trailed only nationally-ranked teams Messiah and Baldwin Wallace followed by Waynesburg. More importantly, three Lakers qualified for the NCAA Championship by claiming a top-three spot in their weight class. Jordan Bushey (184) and Rocco Russo (157) both captured the title in their respective weight classes while Evan Corso was the 133-pound runner-up.

The Oswego State women's lacrosse team opened the 2017 campaign with a 10-6 loss to Clarkson University (2-1) on Tuesday afternoon at Laker Turf Stadium.

The Oswego State men's lacrosse team suffered a 17-6 loss to No. 4 Ithaca College on Wednesday afternoon at Laker Turf Stadium. Oswego is now 1-2 on the year while the nationally-ranked Bombers stay perfect at 3-0.

The OSU Roller Hockey Club plays in the East Coast Roller Hockey Association (ECRHA) against larger schools such as Boston University, Northeastern University, University of Delaware, Drexel University and Penn State who receive greater amounts of resources to build a competitive team.

Each year, the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) honors individuals for their ability to overcome obstacles and serve as an inspiration to others. Deemed the Award of Valor, recipients exemplify the true meaning of perseverance, dedication and determination to overcome a life-altering event. The SUNYAC wishes to congratulate Rachael Windhausen of Oswego on being one of this year's recipients of the Award of Valor.

The Oswego State women's lacrosse team picked up its first victory in 2017 with a 17-2 victory over The Sage Colleges on Thursday afternoon at Laker Turf Stadium. It was also Head Coach Britt Howard's first career win as the Lakers improved to 1-1 while the Gators fell to 0-2.

The Oswego State wrestling team had members make its first appearance at the NCAA Championships in four years, with three competing on Friday at the national tournament – hosted by the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

Jordan Bushey solidified his spot in the annals of Oswego State wrestling history on Saturday, claiming fourth place in the 184-pound division at the NCAA Division III Championships – hosted by the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

The Oswego State men's lacrosse team erased three separate four-goal deficits to outlast Morrisville State College 10-8 in three overtimes on Monday evening at Laker Turf Stadium. A Jarrod Wilkom unassisted goal with 1:11 remaining in the third overtime was the difference and helped the Lakers get back to .500 on the year at 2-2. The Mustangs drop to 0-2 on the 2017 campaign.
