The nationally-ranked Oswego State men's ice hockey team used a four-goal second period to upend SUNY Canton on the road on Friday night.
With the victory, Oswego remain perfect on the year and are fine-tuned for a top-10 matchup at home on Saturday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Senior transfer Josh Nenadal lit the lamp first for the Lakers – his first tally in a Laker uniform – at 8:27 of the first period.
- Nenadal was helped on the goal by Josh LeBlanc and Kristoffer Brun, with the assist being LeBlanc's first of his career.
- Canton was able to register the equalizer with less than a minute remaining in the opening period, sending the contest to the first intermission tied at one goal apiece.
- The Laker adjustment's made during the first intermission paid off, as the visiting team owned the middle 20 minutes.
- Anthony Passero opened the flood gates at 4:37 to give Oswego a 2-1 advantage.
- Oswego then recorded a triplicate of power-play goals, with one coming in the 12th minutes and a pair in the final 60 seconds.
- Josh Zizek's goal at 11:28 was the first of the power-play notches and proved to be the eventual game-winner.
- Zizek added his second goal of the game in the final period for the junior's third-career, two-goal game.
- Also having a multiple-point outing were Tyler Currie, Derek Brown and Michael Gillespie.
- Currie assisted on three Laker goals to set a new single-game, career-high for the junior.
- Brown followed his teammate's footsteps by staying in the assist column with two helpers while Gillespie split his points between a goal and an assist.
- One of the three extra-man goals in the second period came from reigning SUNYAC Rookie of the Week Travis Broughman, closing out the Laker scoring in the contest.
- Also finishing with points for Oswego were Max Novick, Aaron Huffnagle and Joseph Molinaro, each with an assist apiece.
- Cedric Hansen spent the entire game between the pipes for the Lakers, stopping 15 Kangaroo shots to move to 1-0-0 on the year.
