The Oswego State men`s cross country team had a good showing at the University of Rochester Yellowjacket Invitational on Saturday as it finished 11th out of 24 participating teams at Genesee Valley Park.
Senior Nick Montesano paced the Lakers in the meet, taking 39th individually with a finish of 27:31.4. Montesano was followed by two freshman classmates, beginning with Justin Sommer and his time of 28:00.4. Sommer's classmate, Colin Greenseich, came in just three seconds later at 28:03.8. Summer and Greenseich finished 56th and 57th, respectively, out of 165 runners.
Sophomore Tyler Morris also performed well on Saturday, coming across the finish line at 28:27.6. Also placing in the top 85 was freshman Kyle Pollicove, clocking in at 28:50.9.
Oswego will be back in Rochester for its next meet at 11 a.m. on Saturday when Robert Wesleyan College hosts the Harry F. Anderson Invitational.
