The Oswego State men's soccer team has made its 2018 schedule available to the public. During the upcoming season, the Lakers will play 15 regular-season games, with seven of those taking place at beautiful Laker Turf Stadium.
At 7 p.m. on the final day of August, Oswego will open its campaign with the Mustangs of Morrisville at home. On Tuesday, Sept. 4, the Lakers will remain on campus to host the Hamilton College Continentals at 4:30 p.m.
Oswego's first road trip will be at the Utica College Tournament beginning on Friday, Sept. 7. That night, the Lakers face SUNY Cobleskill at 7 before having Saturday off. Men's soccer will close with a 3 p.m. tilt on Sunday with the host Pioneers.
Rochester Institute of Technology will be waiting for the Lakers next, as the Tigers welcome Oswego at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15. The Lakers' final nonconference matchup of the year will be at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 18 as they tune up for SUNYAC action with Ithaca College.
Oswego's first three league bouts will come on the road, as it travels to Cortland on Sept. 22, New Paltz on Sept. 29 and Oneonta the following afternoon. The road trip gives way to a four-game home stand, starting with Plattsburgh and Potsdam on Oct. 5 and 6, respectively. The next weekend brings Buffalo State and Fredonia to the shores of Lake Ontario for Oswego's last regular season home battles.
On Oct. 19, the Lakers travel to Brockport for a 3 p.m. start before closing the campaign at Geneseo on Oct. 20.
Friday conference games begin at 4 p.m., with the exception of Brockport on Oct. 19. All Saturday league games begin at 1 p.m.
Postseason action is scheduled to begin with the SUNYAC Championship quarterfinals on Oct. 27.
