Tone's Cones, located at 15 Culvert St. in Phoenix, will host a special fundraiser benefiting Erin's Angels of CNY on July 11 from 12 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
A portion of all purchases made during the event will support Erin's Angels of CNY and help advance the organization's goal of funding two full years of its backpack program, which provides weekend meals and snacks to children experiencing food insecurity within the Phoenix Central School District.
The fundraiser highlights the power of community collaboration, bringing together a beloved local business and local residents to help ensure children have access to nutritious food when school meals are unavailable.
"When local businesses and community members come together, incredible things happen," said Sheila Dion, founder and executive director of Erin's Angels of CNY. "Every ice cream cone purchased is more than a treat, it is an investment in a child, a family, and a stronger community. Supporting local businesses while helping local children is truly a win-win."
Organizers encourage families, friends, and neighbors to stop by, enjoy their favorite frozen treats, and take part in a simple act of kindness that will have a lasting impact on children throughout the community.
"Our mission has always been rooted in the belief that no child should carry the weight of hunger," Dion said. "Events like this remind us that when a community comes together with love and purpose, we can create real change for the children who need us most."
