Emma Geyer, Sarah Grupp and Chloe Lonergan of the Oswego State women's soccer team earned spots on the All State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) teams. Geyer nabbed second team honors, while Grupp and Lonergan were named to the third team.
Geyer, who has made second team All-SUNYAC three times and first team once, became the third player in program history to be named All-SUNYAC all four years, joining Nikki Liadka '13 and Maureen Kasperek '05. Geyer is also one of only two players in the SUNYAC to be named to the first or second team every season within the past four years.
The Liverpool, N.Y. native scored eight points on three goals and two assists this season. She started her season with a two-goal performance versus the Morrisville State Mustangs, a game that the Lakers won 7-0. Geyer also had an overtime game-winner on Senior Day against Fredonia in the 95th minute, the sixth game-winning goal of her career.
Geyer finishes her career as one of the most decorated Lakers in program history, totaling 41 points on 16 goals and nine assists. She played in 65 games during her four years, starting in each of those contests.
Grupp's nomination is the first of her career. She played strong on the back end for the Lakers, who only allowed 16 goals all season, tied for second-best in the SUNYAC. She also scored two goals, including the lone goal in Oswego's upset of then-No. 8 ranked Geneseo. The Lakers were the only team to beat Geneseo during the regular season. She also led the team in playing time, appearing in 1388 minutes. Grupp finishes her Oswego career with 66 games started and played, while scoring 13 goals and assisting on three others for 29 career points.
Lonergan was voted to the third team for the second time in her career. In 2015, she earned third team honors and was named the SUNYAC Rookie of the Year. The junior is a staple on defense for Oswego, helping the Lakers hold their opponents to just 84 shots on-goal in 15 games. She scored her lone goal of the season against Penn St.-Behrend on Sept. 8, while also playing the second-most minutes on the team with 1366.
