The Oswego State women's cross country team placed in 27th of 32 teams at the Pre-Regional Mike Woods Invitational, hosted by Geneseo on Saturday morning.
Oswego's top five finishers were all within 1:16 from each other, led by senior Katie Laris' time of 24:41.6. Next to cross the finish line for the Lakers was freshman Shauna Fliss, doing so in 25:06.2. Just over four seconds behind Fliss was junior Lauren McNamara (25:10.8), followed by sophomore Morgan Bronner less than a second later (25:11.5). Rounding out those counting towards the team score was junior Sylvia Pericles, completing the course in 25:57.1.
The Lakers will return to action in two weeks when they travel to Easton, Pa. to take part in the LaFayette Leopard Invitational at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17.
