The Oswego State women`s cross country team took sixth in today's Pat Peterson Invitational, which the squad hosted at Hidden Fields. The team averaged a time of 20:19.9 for the 5K race.
Oswego's first runner to finish was senior Meghan Murphy, who placed 27th with a time of 19:52.8. Murphy has now paced the Lakers in both of their meets this year, as she took first overall at last week's SUNYIT Wildcat Invitational.
Right on the heels of Murphy was graduate student Katie Bott, who finished 31st with a time of 20:01.2.
The race included 189 runners hailing from 14 different teams.
Oswego will be back in action for the University of Rochester Yellowjacket Invitational at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20.
