The men's and women's cross country teams traveled to SUNY Geneseo Saturday, Oct. 5, to participate in the 35th Annual Geneseo Cross Country Invitational.
The men's team placed 12th, with six runners placing in the top 100.
Ben Sweet finished highest for the Lakers at 46th with a time of 27:02. Damian Archie followed at 51st, with Nick Montesano coming in at 53rd. Ryan Korzinski placed 79th,Tyler Morris at 81st and Kyle Gilyard at 85th.
SUNY Geneseo came in first place. 255 men participated in the race.
The Laker women placed 16th in the competition, with four runners finishing in the top 100.
Emily Yerdon placed 58th with a time of 23:55. Katie Laris placed 60th while Meghan Murphy placed 94th and Katie Bott finished at 99th.
The Geneseo women's team finished first as well. 268 women ran Saturday afternoon.
The Lakers will be back in action when they travel to Easton, P.A. Oct. 19 to participate in the Lafayette Leopard Invitational.
