
The Oswego State women's swimming and diving team sits in seventh place after the first complete day of competition at the SUNYAC Championships, held at Erie Community College's Burt Flickinger Aquatic Center.
In total, the Lakers collected 52 team points, 48 of which came in two separate relay events. The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Sabia Filiaci, Emily Doe, Aran Kilcoyne and Natalie Brophy finished the race in 1:43.38, good four seventh place and 24 points.
Later in the day, Brophy, Doe and Filiaci teamed with Emily Karszes for the 400-yard medley relay, capturing seventh place once again, touching the wall in 4:11.63, for another 24 points.
Oswego's final four points on the day came from Filiaci, who took 13th place in the 50-yard freestyle. The senior completed the race in a time of 25.32, which was enough to tally four points.
Women's swimming and diving will be back in action at 10 a.m. on Friday for day two of the SUNYAC Championships.
