The Oswego State men's and women's swimming and diving teams hosted The College at Brockport for a meet Saturday, Nov. 23, at Laker Pool.
Oswego's men won its fourth-straight competition 151-131 while the women fell 179-109.
On the men's side, Logan Killian, Jacob Mullett, Thomas Kearney and Pasha Rusakov took first place in the 400-yard medley relay with a time of 3:48.40 to earn 11 points. Individually, Tom Schmid won the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:20.49, defeating his next closest opponent by nearly two seconds.
Andrew Minnick also won his event, the 200-yard freestyle, with a time of 1:49.07.
Killian (56.01) and Kearney (57.80) placed first and second, respectively, in the 100-yard backstroke while Mullet (1:05.34) and Niklas Hesse (1:07.14) found the same finish in the 100-yard breaststroke. Rusakov (22.56), Austin Nau (22.59) and Zachary Gerber (22.69) combined for 16 points in the 50-yard freestyle by nabbing the top three spots.
Nau (50.47), Rusakov (50.94) and Matt Pamlanye (50.95) found the same outcome of 16 points with the top three finishes in the 100-yard freestyle. In event 22, the 200-yard breaststroke, Mullet (2:23.96), Hesse (2:32.66) and Matthew Pilo (2:37.99) found the same fortune of grabbing the first three spots, respectively.
For the women, Laurie Jackson (11:32.24) took nine points and first place in the 100=yard freestyle while Kasey Simmons (11:38.90) placed second. Jackson also grabbed first place in the 500-yard freestyle (5:36.92), beating her next closest competitor by nearly six seconds.
Katelyn Bauresachs was the medalist in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:06.63 while Sabia Filiaci (1:01.92) place in first of the 100-yard butterfly.
The Lakers will return to action at 6 p.m., Dec. 6, when they head to the MCC Invitational in Rochester.
