The No. 1-ranked Oswego State men's ice hockey team (6-0-0, 5-0-0 SUNYAC) erased a two-goal deficit to defeat Buffalo State (2-5-1, 1-4-1 SUNYAC), 5-4, Friday night at the Campus Center Ice Arena. The Lakers scored four straight goals over an 11-minute span between the second and third periods to overcome four Bengal power-play goals.

     Oswego State sophomore goaltender Bridget Smith (Hamburg, N.Y.) has been named the ECAC Women's West Goaltender of the Week for the week ending Nov. 12, 2012.

     Kyle Sheridan (Syracuse, N.Y.), a senior on the wrestling team, and Chelsea Hunt (Brockport, N.Y.), a junior women's ice hockey player, have been named the Oswego State Athletes of the Week for the week ending Nov. 11.

     The Oswego State men's and women's cross country teams wrapped up the 2012 season after competing at the NCAA Atlantic Regional Championships hosted by the University of Rochester at Genesee Valley Park on Saturday afternoon.

     The Oswego State women's ice hockey team (2-3-1, 2-2-0 ECAC West) played an aggressive game against Potsdam (1-4-0, 1-2-0 ECAC West), but was shut out 2-0 in the end Saturday afternoon.

     The Oswego State men's and women's swimming and diving teams suffered a pair of losses to New Paltz on Saturday afternoon.

     Senior captain Kyle Sheridan (Syracuse, N.Y.) provided some late heroics at 285 pounds to give the Oswego State wrestling team (1-0) a 21-18 comeback win over visiting RIT (0-1) Saturday afternoon. Sheridan recorded a takedown with four seconds remaining to overtime to defeat Nick Stewart, 3-1.

     The power-play unit for the No. 1-ranked Oswego State men's ice hockey team (5-0-0, 4-0-0 SUNYAC) recorded four goals to push the Lakers past Morrisville (0-6-0, 0-5-0 SUNYAC), 5-1, Friday night.

     Four different players scored as the Oswego State women's hockey team (2-2-1, 2-1-0 ECAC West) shut out Potsdam (0-4-0, 0-2-0 ECAC West) 4-0 on Friday night.
