During the 2017-18 academic year, Oswego State Athletics set a new record for its most community service projects and events supported with 75. The 24 teams finished strong during the spring semester, highlighted by a particularly busy April.

The Oswego State women's basketball team dominated Buffalo State to the tune of a 65-48 victory on Saturday afternoon in Max Ziel Gymnasium. It is the Lakers' first conference win of the year, moving to 1-3 in the SUNYAC and 2-7 overall. The Bengals are now 4-6 on the year and 1-3 in league action.

The Oswego State wrestling team fell to No. 3 Ithaca College 31-9 on Saturday, as the Lakers hosted the dual on campus at Lee Hall. With the defeat, the Lakers are now 1-3 in dual meets while the Bombers stay perfect at 2-0.

The Oswego State men's basketball team slipped past Buffalo State 71-70 behind a 3-pointer in the final 15 seconds by Brian Sortino on Saturday in Max Ziel Gymnasium. Oswego improves to 7-3 overall and 3-1 in the SUNYAC with the win while the Bengals drop to 5-3, 1-3.

The nationally-ranked Oswego State women's ice hockey team faltered in the final second of overtime to suffer just its second loss of the season 3-2 to Hamilton College on Friday night in the Marano Campus Center Arena. Hamilton is now 4-2-0 on the season with the victory while the No. 7/7 Lakers drop to 11-2-0.
