Troy Crevier (Webster, N.Y.), a freshman on the men's lacrosse team, and Alexis Nasca (Hamburg, N.Y.), a freshman on the softball team, have been named the Oswego State Athletes of the Week for the week ending March 31.

     Matt Wagenhauser (So., Greenlawn, N.Y.) started the 2013 outdoor track and field season off with a bang for Oswego State by winning the 400-meter dash with an ECAC-qualifying, school record time of 49.48 seconds at the Ithaca Invitational on Saturday, March 30.

     Casey Balzer (Sr., Nassau, N.Y.) and Chris Porten (Jr., Auburn, N.Y.) scored twice in the final 30 seconds of regulation to complete a 10-9 come-from-behind win for the Oswego State men's lacrosse team (6-1, 1-0 SUNYAC) against Brockport (2-6, 0-1) Saturday afternoon, March 30.

     The Oswego State women's lacrosse team (3-4, 0-1 SUNYAC) trailed by one goal near the end of the first half, but Fredonia (7-0, 1-0) rattled off eight straight goals as the Lakers fell, 13-5, on a sunny Saturday afternoon, March 30.

     In its first action since spring break, the Oswego State baseball team (9-5, 2-1 SUNYAC) fell in both games of a non-conference doubleheader to Ithaca (13-4).

     The Oswego State softball team (4-8, 1-1 SUNYAC) knocked off Cortland (7-9, 1-1 SUNYAC) in game one of a doubleheader, 4-2, to snap a 36-game Red Dragon winning streak Friday.

     The Oswego State Women's lacrosse team (3-3) was unable to capitalize on an early lead, as the Utica Pioneers scored seven unanswered first-half goals en route to handing the Lakers a 10-5 loss at Charles A. Gaetano Stadium Tuesday afternoon, March 26.

     For the second straight year, the Oswego State men's lacrosse team (5-1) and Ithaca (6-1) were unable to settle things in regulation.

     Freshman Erannan Shattuck (Syracuse, N.Y.) scored four goals, and was one of 11 different Laker players to score in the Oswego State women's lacrosse team's (3-2) 17-6 win over SUNY Canton (2-3) on Monday afternoon, March 25.
