In a contest that saw more rebounds than points, a pair of free throws by senior Kassie Kleine (Cazenovia, N.Y.) sealed a 38-35 victory for the Oswego State women's basketball team (18-8) over Cortland (11-14) in the first round of the State University of New York Athletic Conference Tournament Tuesday night, Feb. 19, at Max Ziel Gymnasium.

     The Oswego State men's ice hockey team (21-4-0) slipped one spot to No. 3 in the USCHO.com Division III and two spots to No. 6 in the D3hockey.com polls after completing the regular season this past weekend.

     Hayden Ward (Montauk, N.Y.), a senior on the men's basketball team, and Jocelyn St. Clair (Cambridge, Ontario), a junior on the women's ice hockey team, have been named the Oswego State Athletes of the Week for the week ending Feb. 17.

     In a game that saw five combined special-teams goals, it was a pair of even-strength strikes that handed the No. 2 Oswego State men's ice hockey team (21-4-0, 14-2-0 SUNYAC) a 4-3 loss to No. 9 Plattsburgh (18-6-1, 12-3-1) Saturday night, Feb. 16.

     The Oswego State men's basketball team (18-7, 11-7 SUNYAC) saw its second-half comeback stymied by host Plattsburgh (18-7, 14-4 SUNYAC), which held off the Lakers, 71-63, Saturday, Feb. 16.

     The Oswego State women's ice hockey team (12-11-1, 10-6-0 ECAC West) fell behind early, but tallied three unanswered goals to defeat Cortland (6-16-1, 6-10-0), 3-1, Saturday afternoon, Feb. 16.

     The Oswego State women's basketball team (17-8, 11-7 SUNYAC) was unable to overcome 26 turnovers, as it fell to Plattsburgh (14-11, 10-8 SUNYAC), 65-47, Saturday afternoon, Feb. 16.

     The Oswego State wrestling team (3-11) closed out the regular season with a 43-6 loss at nationally 11th-ranked Wesleyan College (15-7) Saturday afternoon, Feb. 16.

     Four veteran players scored in double digits to lead the Oswego State men's basketball team (18-6, 11-6 SUNYAC) past host Potsdam (9-15, 5-12 SUNYAC), 76-65, Friday night, Feb. 15.
